online holiday pottery sale
Live on Friday, November 28 at 9:00 am PT
Welcome to my biggest online pottery sale of the year!
Explore a curated selection of nearly 200 handmade wares crafted over the past several months. Many of these wares were created with intention and quiet focus in my Cobb Mountain studio, joined by select wares made during my residencies at Red Lodge Clay Center in Montana and La Meridiana in Tuscany, Italy. Together, they form a diverse range of forms, surfaces, and stories.
This year’s collection also marks the beginning of a new creative path: working with wild clays that are gathered directly from the earth. I’ve spent the past few months collecting and testing high-firing clays from California and Greece, and brining their raw and unpredictable character into my work. A favorite, an ochre-rich clay from Nevada County, CA, appears throughout the collection as terra sigillata and blended directly into my clay bodies. These wild clays are often times very difficult to work with, but also deeply rewarding. They bring a further sense of place and discovery to my process and wares.
